Impress.js – Great Presentations!

I’ve been playing around with a cool presentation tool, Impress.js by Bartek Szopka.

All you need is an editor, some HTML5 and CSS3 know-how and you’re up and running:

If you’re technical this is a fun way to create a presentation that’s different!

You’ll find my simple demo here:

And the source is in github here:

The transitions are smoothest in Safari (I’m running version 5.1.3 (7534.53.10)). Firefox was the choppiest, Chrome was ok.

Cool. A bit like S5, but I’ll wait till Firefox support is better.

Yeah, it’s really a bit too choppy on Firefox, but worked like a charm in Safari 🙂

Hey. I’ve been developing a GUI for authoring ImpressJS presentations called Strut. Maybe you’d like to give it a test drive? Its on Github at:
which has a link to a live demo/preview.

It’s still in alpha so there is some work to do.

Wow!! Really nice! I really liked the drag and drop for editing the slides (that was such a pain when we shuffled around slides, or needed to add slides to the presentation), but I especially liked the JSON export/import.

Matt, I had a query – the JSON that I can export from the Strut editor – how do I use it with impress.js?
