Here it is, A Scrum Product Owner Checklist as a pdf updated 2015-03-27.

Maybe you’ve just been assigned the role Scrum Product Owner, and you are thinking “what is required of me”?

or

Use this as a basis for discussion within your team, maybe as a part of a retrospective.

or

Please let me know how you use it!

I’ve compiled it from various sources, some that I have lost track of. But one I’m sure of is The Official Scrum Rule Book.

I’ve also got excellent feedback from the Agile Sweden mail list, http://www.agilesweden.com/ .

  1. När man jobbar på små bolag i små projekt hamnar man lätt i flera olika roller, vilket är fallet för mig just nu. Den här skall jag ha på väggen som en bra komihåglapp om vad jag håller på med just när jag agerar som PO 🙂

  2. Hi Hans,

    Great checklist.
I am preparing a similar checklist for our future PO.
Is it possible to provide/send the original mindmap file you used for this PNG export?
I am a little lazy and would like to be able to copy/paste a few of your items to my checklist.

I can share back later my own source-aggregated PO checklist with you (and all) when completed.

    Thanks

    1. Of course you can have it.
I’ve send it in an email.
I’m curious on what you will change, that is great feedback on my list!
I’ve also changed the post above so it’s easier to get it donwloaded as a pdf.

  3. Hello Hans,
Could you possibly send me the checklist pdf in an email. The download doesn’t seem to be working for me.
    Thanks!

  4. Thank you for your effort, Hans this is a very interesting view on the Product Owner’s tasks.I actually got this printed because of its simplicity and ease of understanding. Also, it wraps up another interesting read that I found here [http://www.thinslices.com/13-items-that-a-good-scrum-product-owner-needs-to-plan-in-his-calendar-next-week/] and it emphasized just how busy a PO can be.

Thanks, and I’m looking forward for your new articles.
